Thanks Y'all

Yes, these cowgirls are wonderfully all very different and colorful too!! I tried to be in keeping to Terry Medaris style of coloring (his stamp). Another one of the last HYCCT challenges.

Home is where the heart is

One of the last cancer card drive challenges, to use a heart shaped card or card with hearts on it.  I have a package of these wonderful tri-fold heart cards I bought years and years ago and I also used stamps I've had for probably as long! These are the old Stampa Rosa House Mouse stamps.
Today is the last day for these challenges.  Next, I will be sending a huge box of cards to Texas!

Snow buddies

This was done for a sketch challenge and also for one of the HYCCT cancer card challenges.  The stamp is by Stampendous.

Elizabeth Craft Design sticker card!

Here is a card I did yesterday for a challenge from a site that sells home goods and decor. This was taken from a Christmas stocking. I did NOT use ANY stamps on this one. I used Elizabeth Craft Design stickers for the ornaments and the lace trim. I colored them in with Gel Stardust pens. The paper at top is from Bo Bunny and the buttons are just some I had in my button drawer (I have about 300-500 buttons in there!!).
The layer under the lace is embossed with a diamond type design and the white below is embossed with a floral design (the stocking had a brocade type white material on the bottom).
I used a circle template and hand cut my circles but you could use a cricut or similar machine to do that part. This is a very simple and quick card to make!

I will be there for you!

This was a challenge from SCS for the Hope you can cling to card drive.  We were to do a card featuring "ears" to listen.  Sometimes we just need someone to listen, not solve, just listen.
This is an old Stampa Rosa stamp. I believe Stampendous is now making them. I watercolored (with Aqua crayons) this image after heat embossing with black powder.  I made a mask and then splattered the background with white acrylic paint and a toothbrush to make snow.
The words are by Sweet N Sassy stamps.

Wee-Little Mermaid

Here is the Wee Little Mermaid! Done for a Fairytale challenge.  She makes a perfect Disney Little Mermaid!! Just believe one impossible thing everyday...This is another card for the Hope You Can Cling To card drive.  The cards are going to a cancer hospital in Texas.  For more info on this card drive go to:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/hope-you-can-cling-challenge-forum-f299/
I used Copics to color, The flourish die is from Cheery Lynn Designs, the border punch is a Martha Stewart "around the page" punch set.
I did some sewing on my machine.   Also added Mark Richards 3mm pearls.

Flowers for you

Cute little Stampendous card for tonight's challenge of giving flowers.  Colored with Copics. Used lace and ribbon to add something to the bottom! Love using die cuts as well...

Stampendous Big Girl Boots

Hi there friends! This boot was made for walkin, and that's just what they'll do, one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over CANCER!! This Stampendous, high heeled boot was crying out for me to use it in a challenge to use a shoe/boot to kick cancer!!  The font is computer generated so don't look for the stamp but I did used Cheery Lynn Design gear dies, Spellbinder label dies, silver brads and Stampendous aged silver and silver embossing powders Used Copic Markers for coloring. I stamped the clock twice so that I could cut one out and pop it up on top of the die cut gears I put on the boot.

Cardinal

This stamp is from Sweet n Sassy Stamps.  Beautiful Cardinal and words.  The idea today was to make a star burst (or sunburst) card.  I stitched around the edges and down each piece.  The bird is popped up.  Paper is from We R Memory Makers, white washed.

Dream

Here is a sweet card for the cancer hospital in Texas.  This is an old Stampa Rosa House Mouse from 1997.
It seems perfect for the furry animal challenge though.
The Dream die is from Cheery Lynn Designs and the round dies are from Spellbinder.  I also used an embossing folder from Sizzix (i think).

Sleeping Peacefully

This little house mouse from 1997 is resting peacefully on a bed of Thistle. It was suppose to be a one layer card so I added the grid lines (by Cornish Heritage Farms) with Salmon Adirondack for interest after masking the mouse and purple part of the Thistle. I used Brilliance Sky Blue and Lime to sponge in the background. I am not a fan of one layer cards and they are really hard for me to do because I keep thinking that something is missing! But I kinda like this one.

Wee-tree fairy

Love the Wee fairies. they are so cute! I used the Heartfelt stamp and die set for the leafy frame and made some roses (Spellbinder) to go on top of the visible flowers on the frame. The bow pretty much covers where the other flower is and the Wee berries cover the rest. I used some Ecru lace around the edges to finish it off.
This card is headed to a little 4 year old girl with cancer.  The Tea Potters over at SCS are sending her all kinds of sweet little girl cards!

Love One Another

Believe it or not this was a Washi tape card challenge. the BG die is done with strips of Washi tape. I love this old Penny Black image and it was really fun to color with all the different colors in it plus the hair was fun.  I also used an embossing folder on the first layer.

Peaceful

Peaceful scene, stamp by Northwoods. We were to do a card using no words to convey peaceful.  This one came to mind right away! you can't see the sparkle of the snow in this picture (hard to photograph glitter) but the snow on the trees and ground are sparkling with the light from the full moon and last light of the sunset sky.  I used shimmer copper cardstock for the frame (dies by Spellbinder) and shimmery copper ribbon. The card is shimmer light blue and first layer is a shimmer white.

Leave a little love -Saturated Canary

I just LOVE saturated Canary stamps and this is a favorite!! Love this fairy with her fairy dust only this time I changed it to hearts to go along with leaving a little love everywhere you go!! She is so cute though! The words are from Darcie's and the paper background is Mary & Co. (Mary Engelbreit) I have never thought of this as card making paper but it was given to me by a friend and seemed perfect for this card!
This card is another one for the cancer hospital in Texas.

HYCCT What lies within

This is another card for the cancer hospital. It was suppose to have a hidden message to find without the opening of the card so I did a fairly easy swing card.  The pretty brad by Bo Bunny lets the top Butterfly oval swing out of the way to reveal the message beneath.  The one thing you need to be careful with on these kinds of cards is not to put the brad too low or the top of the swing oval will cover some of your words.
I used a Northwoods stamp for my butterfly/flower oval and a Stamping Sensation stamp for the words.  The purple die cuts are from Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles set. The lavender doo-dad above the ovals is from Heartfelt Creations.

HYCCT Ornament card

Hi friends,
I did this card for the Hope You Can Cling To challenge at SCS. Also for the sketch challenge.  The Hope cards will be shipped to a special cancer hospital in Texas for friends and family to use for their loved ones who are fighting cancer.  I've been doing at least one a day which is why I haven't been real good keeping up with my blog.
I overed cardstock with aluminum foil and ran it through the cuttlebug with my snowflake embossing folder then used Pool, Stream and Wild Plum Adirondack alcohol inks to color, splattered it with white acrylic paint and added 3 large silver brads to each side then I glued this panel to a silver folded A2 card.
For the rest I used foil paper. I die cut the Elizabeth Craft Designs ornaments out of silver and backed with with die cut turquoise and dark pink.  I added glittered white pearls to the turquoise ornament and gold liquid pearls to the pink ornament. I splattered the tops of the ornaments with white because this is an outside tree of course and it IS snowing. Next I die cut a pine bough from green foil paper and splattered with white.  I then cut a smaller turquoise panel and used alcohol inks on it then splattered it as well.  I glued all my pieces on and used scrap pieces of silver to make hooks for the ornaments. Mounted the ornament panel to silver fil paper then glued it to the card.  A lot of steps but really fairly easy.

ODBDSLC172 ANYTHING GOES

The new Our Daily Bread Design die and window scenes are used for this card along with Spellbinder's Poinsettia die and Martha Stewart branch punch.  I decided to use lace for the curtains (even though the die comes with curtains) because I could not find suitable paper to go with this house's beautiful wall coverings.
The mom of this house, decorated the corner by the window with a lovely poinsettia arrangement!! She's such a decorator!

Harvest Flip Card

Outside and inside of my Harvest Flip Card.
I used a Northwoods stamp for the outside (Harvest Bounty) and a Heartfelt Creations stamp for the inside Scripture.    The Flip Card is a die from Sizzix and the circles that are stamped on are a die from Spellbinders.  Added rhinestones and Stickles glitter glue to decorate along with a sheer ribbon bow.
The card base is card stock from Bo Bunny's new Double Dot Vintage line.
