Welcom to 2016 Our Daily Bread Designs New Release

Good morning and welcome to the first release of 2016!
Our Daily Bread Designs has it's first stamps made for the Bible journaler.
You can also use these stamps for making bookmarks and cards as well, so, if you don't have a Journaling Bible or you just don't mark in your Bible, you can still make beautiful cards with these stamps, you will see samples as you hop along with us today!
Prize Information:
Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "ODBD stamps column" of the website just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until January 2, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. EST to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on January 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

My first sample is a Bible page.
ODBD stamp: Your Mercy
ODBD die: Sunburst Background (used as a stencil)
I stamped with Memento Black and then used my Prismacolor pencils to color the image and also to make the sunrays using the Sunburst Background as a stencil.
Using the Bible journaling stamps makes journaling in my new Bible very easy.  This was my first try and I am very happy with it.
The Bible I got is an ESV single column Journal Bible.
ODBD products used for my sample above:

My next sample is a card made with the new Wishing Well stamp set.
I stamped and die cut the Wishing well then colored with Copic Markers.  I decided to use pastel colors like the ODBD paper that I was using.  I usually use more realistic colors when coloring images but I love this paper and the colors.
I then die cut the border, the butterflies, and the Lacey Square.
The Posies were die cut from several layers of pink and white Mulberry paper then misted with water and formed, allowed to dry and glued together.  They have pearl centers and I also used pearl trails for the butterflies.  I used a pretty light pink ribbon stuffed up under the flowers that I had misted and wrinkled.  My leaves are die cut from a light green Mulberry paper.

Lovely coloring on the Bible journaling, esp. love your use of the sunburst! Pretty coloring of the wishing well with the pastel colors also, adds to the magical essence. Did you use anything to seal the page in your Bible after using the colored pencils? I'm thinking of the smear over time pencils can have, since this would be a well used item versus a display card and am curious as to what product would be good to seal with. Thanks! :)
