Heartfelt Creations Shaped Peony Card

Good morning!

I have a shaped card for you today using the peony stamp images.
I still tried to make (the main flower) 3D by adding layers and by
adding Prills in the center.

HC PRODUCTS USED

Other Products:
Copic Markers: RV10, RV55, RV17, RV09, acetate, 3-M foam tape, Ivory card stock, magenta card stock

Instructions:
Card size: 5” X 5 ½” Start by cutting folded ivory card with the Decorative Oval, leaving top ½” of die off the top of the fold.  Cut another decorative Oval out of decorative paper and glue to front side of shaped card base.  Cut Decorative medallion base layer out of magenta and one from Ivory.  Cut the decorative Medallion from decorative paper (medium pink) and from ivory, this will be the “stand” for the card.
To make the card sturdier I cut a piece of acetate and glued it to the back of the card over the oval.  I also cut a piece of decorative paper to cover the back inside oval as well (both are glued to the back of the card).  The paper can be seen from the front of the card so choose something pretty.
Glue the “stands” on and make sure they are level so that the card sits properly.
Stamp sentiment with Lilac Posies (a dark pink or magenta ink) on light pink decorative paper then die cut with an oval die.  Die cut a dark pink oval for a mat and glue to sentiment then glue to the front of the card, centering.  Now stamp and die cut Peony Bud and Bloom twice each then color.  Cut out forward parts of the flower bloom and bud from second set and glue/foam tape to matching parts of base flower and bud to give it more 3D dimension, (Shape flower a bit from the back on a flower shaping pad with the large stylist).  Glue some Prills to the very center where the stamped stamen are.  Sponge glue onto bloom and bud and glitter with Crystal Clear.
Decorate the card front with the bloom and bud, adding in a few leaves.

Thanks for visiting today!!

Heartfelt Creations Peony Display

Hello everyone! Good morning!

My card this morning is a tri-fold card but, hahaha, I got carried away and put so many flowers on it I can't close it!!!  It works perfectly for displaying though!

HC PRODUCTS USED

Instructions:
Card size: 12” X 7”   Start with a piece of heavy weight white card stock 6 X 12 and score at 4” and 8”.  Also cut a piece of decorative paper 6 X 12 and score at 4” and 8”.  Use the curved plain edge of the Fleur Border Basics to cut both 4” ends of card stock and also the paper to match.  Trim paper to show about 1/8” white border all the way around and then glue to white base making sure score lines match and you can still fold in enough to make a display of your card.
Tape two border dies together (the scallop and the decorative) to form the decorative edges for the top of the card, die cut and glue to top.  Cut Decorative Medallion from white for the top center.
Cut the Decorative oval from white and cut a background oval from medium pink decorative paper, glue to center panel.
Stamp and die cut multiple Peony flowers using Rose Coral and Rhubarb Stalk, Lilac blossoms using Wisteria, blossoms (from Rain Boots & Blossoms)using Bamboo Leaves and Wisteria and the sentiment using Rhubarb Stalk. Sponge Angel Pink around die cut sentiment.  Color Peony flowers with Salmon and Angel Pink, Lilac blossoms and blossoms with Lulu Lavender and glue white Flower Soft onto round flower blossoms.  Shape blossoms and leaves slightly and place Peony in shaping mold after misting with water, run through die cutting machine to form.  After they dry, push down in the centers using a flower shaping mat and tools then start gluing blossoms together (usually at least 3 layers).  Pierce a hole into the center of each flower and add stamen.  Add green Prills to centers of Lilac blossoms.  Sponge glue onto flowers and glitter with Crystal Clear.
Start decorating display with leaves, blossoms and flowers on both sides of the oval (decorate one side more than the other), add Lilac blossoms to fill gaps.
Die cut a dark pink mat for sentiment and add sentiment with mat to the center of large Decorative Oval.

Thanks for visiting today!

Speaking of display, my title for this card, it made me think of a teaching from Jesus Christ my Lord.

Matthew 6:1-4 New Living Translation

“Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
He goes on to say the same about praying and about fasting...In other words, don't do things to be praised by people but to be praised by God, to have a lasting reward, a lasting treasure.

Proverbs 27:2 New Living Translation (NLT)

Let someone else praise you, not your own mouth—
a stranger, not your own lips.

(do not add a lot of bulk to the inside of card as it has to fold up and close.
Die cut sentiment from Heartfelt Love paper with circle die and add a die cut white mat circle.  Glue to inside of first panel on the right.
Sponge glue randomly on paper and glitter with Crystal Clear.
On the back side, add white Sweetheart Border to 3rd panel from the left.  The first panel on the left will be what shows when closed so add flowers and dimension mostly to this panel.
Cut out sentiment from Peony paper collection and add small bird and flowers.
Use a magnet to keep closed if desired, (the 2 halves of the magnet are covered by decorative paper, do this step while adding paper to panels).

Psalm 139:1-4
Lord, you have examined my heart
    and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
You see me when I travel
and when I rest at home.
    You know everything I do.
You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord.
This makes me want to open my heart wide before the Lord and allow Him to cut away ANYTHING that does not please Him...because, what will matter at the end?  Only those things that bring honor to Him.

Heartfelt- Lilac Tissue Box Holder

Good morning!

This lilac collection is my favorite, but then I DO LOVE purple!
The paper is just gorgeous and it really serves well
for this tissue box!
What a great gift to a friend especially one who is
sick and may need a little lift.
I don't like to have a cold but if I did I sure would like to receive
something like this from a good friend!

Other Products:
3-M foam tape, Copic Markers: E50, E21, E51, V01, V12, V15, YG03, YG23, YG17, R20, R21, B00, B21, B23, B24.  Spellbinders Scallop Oval and Oval dies, paper mache tissue box holder

For more tips on creating with the flower shaping molds, watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/FSdPL7nXvQE.

Instructions:
Piant paper mache box white on all corners and inside oval opening.  Cut panels from Lush Lilac decorative paper for each side and the top (to get proper placement of oval opening on the top panel of paper, place paper on the table good side up, place tissue box holder upside down on top of paper and draw a line inside oval opening then take the paper out and die cut opening).  Spread good adhesive onto each side, one at a time, with a paint brush to make sure it is completely covered then place paper on adhesive and smooth until dry, do this for each panel of paper.  Cut border from white linen and cut to fit making sure to cut each side the same so that the corners match up.  Die cut scalloped oval and oval frame out of white linen for the top of box and glue in place.   Sponge randomly with glue on all sides and top then sprinkle Crystal Clear on all the glue.
Stamp and die cut scroll, blossoms, Lilac flowers and birds using purple ink for flowers and scroll and blue ink for birds.  Color with Copics or sponge color onto die cuts.  The Lilac blossoms were die cut directly from decorative paper so they are already colored.  Place some of the Lilac blossoms onto blossoms in the paper design.  Place scroll with sentiment on the front side with foam tape and add some Lilac blossoms.  Pick a side with less design and foam tape birds and Lilac Flower stem to it then add more Lilac blossoms.  On the side with the house, add a Rain Boots & Blossoms Lilac stem and flowers to it with a few Lilac blossoms as well, (see photos for placement).

Thank you for visiting today, I really appreciate your time.

Psalm 139:13-16
13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
16 You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.

Have you ever seen that fast motion video of a baby in the womb from conception to birth?  It is fascinating!  Watching the baby form and heart beat, eyes, ears, little fingers and so cute seeing the baby put his thumb in his little mouth, yes, still in the womb.
God has a plan for each and every life, life is so precious!!!
